Coastal Regeneration Forum member Graeme and fellow ramblers, did a winters walk from Morrison Haven, through Prestonpans, up to the battle site, through Port Seton through to Longniddry on the 17th December.

We didn’t make it last week in the torrential rain but we did make it on Friday 2 December, in the freezing cold with a bit of hail thrown in! A hardy lot we are at Prestonpans Infants. P3 met with Coastal Regeneration members to plants bulbs at the green hills by Cockenzie Power Station. We look forward to seeing the results in Spring.

Just a reminder of how good it looked. Yes it was progress throughout the summer on The Greenhills, The yellow flowers bloomed, planted by the council, helped our own plants gently growing in the background. But more is on the way…Children planting bulbs, seating, trees for all the areas and more to come.

The Prestonpans Arts Festival is holding its first Mural Restoration week.

Five artists are restoring thier murals, getting them ready for tourist season and Three Harbours Arts Festival.
As well as Andrew Crummy, Jim Cursiter, Tom Ewing, Lynda Whyte, Laura
Young are touching up various murals. We also have Ronnie Elliot doing a new mural.
As well as other ongoing projects Adele Conn extending the Train station mural, Michael Jessing and The Labour club mural.
Volunteers are coming forward as well as a cherry picker.
The two articles in the press have created an interest in our desire to improve our coastline.

A big thanks to all that helped. A report with over 2000 ideas, from over 1500 people. Over 1000 plants planted in the Greenhills. A plant for all that have been involved who wish to improve our shared coastline.
An open invitation to our community to work together.
